    • Perth-Narrogin-Albany

    From Member JeffD

We've taken over the family farm down at the Kalgan, near Albany and it seems a good reason for a club ride. Details yet to be worked out but plan for a Friday afternoon road ride to Narrogin (or an early start catch up ride for Saturday starters) and camp the night. Then Saturday will be a longer ride down to the farm with both GS and TS routes planned with all routes suitable for BMW GS machines so those unreliable Suzukis can be left at home. There will be a support vehicle with bike trailer following and some capability to carry luggage for the GS riders. Accommodation at the farm is free bush camping where a decent sized log fire should be going. If it rains (unlikely near Albany in May!) there are a couple of sheds we can camp in.

If sufficient interest by the end of April I will confirm the ride details.

Free ride and accomodation/camping - should be a ripper - Register your interest so Jeff can plan the details!

The 2018 Annual dinner will be hosted at Jennacubbine Tavern on Saturday the 30th of June

The club has booked the Hall next door for members who would like to roll out a sleeping bag, Toilets and Kitchen facilities are included, camping is also available. Pre dinner drinks in the Tavern from 4:30pm with dinner from 6:30pm open menu. The Tavern does have a few double and single rooms out back if you want to call ahead and book something a little more comfortable (08) 9623 2273

There will also be a BBQ breakfast on Sunday morning for those who stay over (highly recommended that you do)

Registrations are requested early so that we can provide the Tavern with numbers to set aside appropriate seating. If we get a sufficient and early uptake we can book the entire tavern. As usual the cost of the dinner will be partly subsidised for members and their partners at a cost of $30 per person. Attendees may order mains and desert from the normal menu, drinks are at your own cost from the bar.

The "Jenna Tavern" has a great atmosphere and is well known for its excellent Steaks. Come along and enjoy the ride out to Jennacubbine a drink by the fireplace and a great night without having to worry about parking or driving home!
